in charge of 和 in the charge of 都有“掌管、负责”的含义，两个词组只差了一个the，意思大不同。

in charge of 表示“主动、掌管”，主语常是人，

sb. be in charge of sth.

构成“某人掌管某物”的结构。

例：

I am in charge of the work.

（2）in the charge of

in the charge of 表“由……掌管、负责”之意，表示被动、被掌管、被负责，in还可以用under代替，

sth. be in the charge of sb.

构成“某物由某人掌管”结构

例：
